Nice Girls don't live forever

So, I've finished the third and last book in the vampire Triology by Molly Harper.
I found this one really amusing, and much better than the second book "Nice Girls don't date dead men", and even more so than the first book "Nice Girls don't have fangs".

This time our newly turned vampire heroine 'Jane' is confronted by a stalker - a deadly one that is. Her realitionsship with her sire 'Gabriel' is as twisted and hurtful as ever, and Jane feels even more lonely with seeing her best friend 'Zeb' and his wife 'Jolene' being happy together and awaiting a baby. 'Dick' and 'Andrea' are also hooking up with each other and this leaves 'Jane' as the only lonely person in the group. Her dead boss nephew finally comes to town and proves to be a big pain in the butt. And to her horror, 'Jane' discovers her membership in a 'club' for store-owners in town to be a disaster - all of the members (almost all named 'Courtney') except one proves nasty and bitchy. And even worse - her sister 'Jenny' decides to join the club aswell. As if all of this isn't enough, Jane's high school reunion is coming up, and she is listed on the memorial wall for the dead classmates. She sure enough has a lot coming up for her in this third and final book.

As I said, I found this book to be the most funny - and I think the best of them all. I could barely let go of it, and it was truly one of the most amusing and hilarous books I've ever read.

I will give it 5 out of 5 fangs" :o) Enjoy!

Nice Girls don't date dead men

Now I've finished the second book from Molly Harper: "Nice Girls don't date dead men". I found it amusing and funny as the first book, but where that book had a really good story, the sequel is kind of lacking a good point. The story is slow, and nothing much happens in this book. Also, the story tends to be more about the main character "Jane"'s friends, Zeb and Jolene, which is fine because they are getting married, but we don't get to follow Jane very much. We hear about some problems in her life, but we never get to hear any good solutions to those.

It took me more time to read this book than the first one, because sometimes the story was so slow I just had to put the book down for a while. Even though this book was a bit boring at times, it was still funny, though not as much as "Nice Girls don't have fangs". But that's probably what you can expect from a sequel. So overall the book was quite good and amusing though it missed some points. It will be exciting to find out how the third book, "Nice Girls don't live forever" turned out.

I wil give this one 3 out of 5 fangs :o) Enjoy!

Nice Girls don't have fangs

So, I've just finished Molly Harpers "Nice Girls don't have fangs".
I must say I found it quite amusing, and I did laugh a couple of times. The main character "Jane Jameson" happens to have a really bad day which ends with her being turned into a vampire. A lot of things happens to our sweet, and, at times naive, Jane, but it all ends up well for her. She falls in love with her sire "Gabriel", who is jeoulus and possesive but equally in love with her. She also gets set up for murder and it's clear someone is after her. But it's not obvious from the start who the "bad guy" is, so other than being funny and romantic, this fantasy novel also makes you think.

It's nothing like "The Sookie Stackhouse Books", "The House of Night Series" or "Twilight" for that matter, but it turned out really good, and I actually can't wait to read the sequel, "Nice Girl's don't date dead men". Molly Harper has a rare sense of humor, and I will enjoy reading more of her work.

I will give it 4 out of 5 fangs :o) Enjoy!
